Valve RepairValvelink can facilitate valve repairs from simple stripping & cleaning to a total overhaul. The Valvelink Factory / Workshop is fully equipped and is tailored for the repairs & refurbishment of valves. The following is list of equipment: - Radial Drill – Capable of drilling flanges on valves up to a height of 1000mm (Large bore ball valves / Gates etc…)
- Drill Press – Work on the smaller valves, venting holes in valve bodies, venting relief holes in balls etc…
- Metal Lathes x 2 – Predominantly for skimming / Machining out threads of valve end connections to have them suit socket weld applications
- Welding bays / Degreasing bathes / painting facilities.
Repairs may be as simple as seat replacement or a seat upgrade, but can extend to total overhauls – re-lapping of metal seated faces / Gland packing / re-greasing of all mechanical parts. After all overhauls valves are pressure tested and certified and a report on all works carried out is presented. Our capabilities also cover the fabrication of extension spindles for butterfly valves / ball valves, any valve requiring an extended spindle whether it be for underground service or just hard to reach pipelines. Recent applications have been for High Performance Butterfly valves for Coal Seam gas pipelines in Queensland, lengths from 1mtr to 2.5mtrs. Valvelink can also offer actuator overhaul – Actuator seals, new spring cartridges, pistons, valve to actuator adaptors even the fabrication of actuator brackets & drive adaptors.
